Owensboro KY Bluegrass Nationals

Heat-1 & 2  Brooks had a slow start missing the first practice due to mechanical failure (starter rope broke)  but found the groove quickly during the heat races.  Brooks dialed it in and ran away with the first heat race but was in another battle in the second heat race with you know who, his friend ZACK!  In the feature Brooks and Zack checked out like they usually do pushing each other to their best levels!  They traded the lead a couple of times but neither could seem to get away from the other.  This is not unusual for these two.  With one to go Zack pulled up on Brooks bumper and I believe the announcer said ".17 seconds apart and couldn't fit a piece of paper between them as they took the white flag!"  But what they couldn't see while they were racing is their other buddy Adam in the #95 car was coming and pulled within 5-6 car lengths behind them as they raced each other.  To the finish line Zack jumped out from behind Brooks and Adam followed Brooks and 1-2-3 went across the line .2 seconds apart.  Brooks won by .1 of a second.  The place went crazy because they did it again.  Whiteland Zack won by .11 seconds, Vincennes that same night Brooks by .09 seconds, Brazil Brooks by .07 seconds and then Owensboro by .1 seconds.  These kids are awesome!  We are proud of him for his performance on his first street course and how safe a race he and his friends drove!
