Rumble In Blue Grass

     Feature Race- Brooks started  in 6 position and jumped into 3rd on the start but was passed by his friend Adam on the inside of turn 3.  But Brooks re-passed him on the front stretch along with 2nd place.   Brooks now in second ran down the leader Tyler Allen but before he got a chance to pass him they caught lapped traffic and he got passed back by Adam.  They both ran on the leaders bumper until they got the cheap pass due to the leader spinning out in turn 1& 2.   The yellow cam out and the field had to restart.  Unfortunately Brooks friend Zack was out of the race with a broken spring in his clutch.  On the restart Brooks jumped to the inside of another kart and Adam to the outside and they raced 3 wide to turn 1 where Brooks took the lead.  Brooks lead for about 4 laps when they caught a lapped kart.  Exiting turn 4 the lapped kart got loose and Brooks had to go to the inside to keep from hitting him but Adam was already drifting off the corner and BAM, a 3 kart pile up with Adam hitting almost head on into the wall.  All 3 kids were ok but Brooks kart was done for the night.  The impact snapped a tie rod in half.  Brooks kicked but by getting the kart back to the finish line with 1 wheel dragging on it's side but he was still done.
