06-25-04 Points/Drop Clarification  All members are allowed to drop 1 weekend or 2 races.  Those that missed the 1st race may still join and use the 1st weekend as a drop.  We only count your best 6 races.  This will still allow many to run for a J1 Speed Series Title.

04-09-04 2005 in the works  The J1 Speed founders just returned from Florida today after visiting Gainesville Raceway and Ocala Gran Prix.  The purpose was to establish a location for our first National Event coming in 2005.  Special thank to Don Robertson at Gainesville Raceway and Jeff Wood for the warm welcome and hospitality during our visit.  We will post a video of their tracks later this week.    Video click here!  
04-04-04 Schedule Change:  Race 5 & 6 at Mid-State has been Changed from July 23-25 to August 6-7th.  The reason for the late season change was to eliminate the scheduling conflict with Kid Kart Nationals, Midwest Sprint, and the Triple Crown.   We chose to take the high road and alter our schedule so J1 Speed Drivers may participate in those events.  We hope to achieve a more unified schedule in 2005.  Call with any Q's.  J1 Staff

Quote to Ponder?  A new friend from Chicago dropped this one on me and has dominated my thoughts for 24 hours now.  It applies to  life in general, but hits racing pretty solidly too.  I though I would pass it on.    "People focus to much on Valuing Price, instead they should be Pricing Value?"  Harry V.      How easily we lose focus on what is really of importance.

01-18-04 Easykart America announces U.S. participation in Easykart World Finals 2004 in Italy.  
On October 11, it was announced that Easykart America will award it’s top finishers in all classes (60, 100, 125 Light and 125 Heavy) with the opportunity to compete against other top finishers from Italy, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Other Countries at the Easykart World Finals in Italy in October of 2004.   More    Who from the Midwest is prepared to go and represent the USA at the World Finals?

 Congratulations and Welcome to Andy Ries, J1 Speeds first ever Kid Kart Director.  We at J1 believe Andy is the best candidate for this most critical position.  He has seen the best and the worst kid karts has to offer and has been one of our role model parents supporting rules, tech, and safety for 2 years.  Andy is tough, firm, fair, and extremely approachable.  Kid kart parents, don't hesitate contacting Andy for any reason, he is very helpful and very knowledgeable.
